ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani court will on Tuesday hear bail appeals filed by jailed former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and his son-in-law Muhammad Safdar against their conviction in the Avenfield case related to luxury London flats.
The Islamabad High Court constituted a two-member bench that will hear the appeals. Sharif was sentenced to 10 years, Nawaz to seven and Safdar to one. All three are in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi.
Sharif and his daughter were arrested in Lahore on July 13 upon their arrival from London after the accountability court sentenced them.
